Our Teachers

Meet the Teachers of Music Together With Laurie

Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with children and families!

All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Laurie Luczak -Teacher &  Center Director -Music Together With Laurie®

Laurie Luczak grew up with a strong love of the arts that included music, dance and the visual arts. Her mother played the piano and passed this gift on to her. She also enjoyed playing clarinet in the area's all county band for consecutive years through middle school .

In college Laurie decided to focus on her love of the visual arts. In 1993 she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from The State University of New York at Buffalo. She then went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1995. She worked  in New York City as an editorial illustrator for just under 20 years. Her work has been published in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine and several other publications. While in New York she also worked for a world renowned picture framing company. Her most special projects included framing a self portrait by Rembrandt and working directly with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to frame her official Department of State portrait.

However her most special creation was giving birth to her son Silas in 2013, After Silas was born Laurie   decided to change her focus to motherhood and she and her husband moved to Houston, Texas. There she was introduced to Music Together at Prelude Music Classes For Children®.  She started taking classes with Silas when he was  5 months old and continued to take classes with him until he was 4 1/2 yeasr old. She has enjoyed the gifts that Music Together has brought to motherhood in the incredible way it has shown her how to share music with Silas. She has cherished this special time with him, having the privilege of witnessing his musical development and overall childhood development grow and evolve with Musuc Together®.

Music Together has also helped Laurie rediscover her own musicality. After a move to Miami in 2015 she decided to get specially trained in teaching Music Together. She taught for three years for Miami Kids Music and then decided to become a Center Director herself.

Stariting with one location in Plantation, Music Together With Laurie can now be found in several locations in Broward, Palm Beach & Miami Dade Counties in South Florida.

Laurie continues to enjoy music with her husband Mark and son Silas by going to see as much live local music as possible. Whether it be classical, jazz or traditional Irish music they love to continue to make musical memories together.
